Surviving Minnesota!

Morning! Tired of our winter roller-coaster. Was in the 70's earlier this week, and are expecting snow flurries this weekend. Its been a strange winter down here.

lvie I will take your "grandma" advice. Hey I need some time of "grandmother figure" to tell me this stuff!

Sorry u lost the hen Ivie...

BC I charge $2.50 a dozen... Or sell them for $12.00 a dozen as hatching eggs. And the greens and blues should make Olive Eggers.... Those would sell fast I am sure.

LOL!!! It just comes naturally to you Holm25! $2.50 this way or $12.00 that way. It all depends on how a person is thinking about it and you, as a salesperson can help them decide.

Good morning all

Sorry Ivie, you have a nice day. I tried to post last night but the wifi went out. I sometimes take a deceased chicken a mile down the road and put her in the ditch for crows.

Morning all. I used to dig mini graves for mine but they always were dug up either by my dog or a fox or coon. So now I take mine a mile down the road or so. Say a little prayer and word of thanks. A quick fling. And I know whatever is feasting on them will get them returned to earthly organic matter faster than burying ever would do. And winter especially this is the only other option... Or a cremation burn barrell...?

We just burn mine in the burn barrel. I'm not taking the time to dig a grave for a chicken. Sometimes we use them for yote bait too.

Sorry bout the hen Ivie that's part of keeping livestock though, just try not to blame it on yourself.

Not much to report here. Still waiting for the egg from the 8 month blue pullet.

Dumplings a la Conway .... The night crowing has ceased 100%.

I have one more little rooster that gets to decide his fate...so far he has been quite pleasant to me....I think he knows
