Surviving Minnesota!

Does anybody have a dog that looooooooooves poop? Chicken poop, duck poop, peacock poop, rabbit poop....you name it. If you don't have a poop loving dog, I know where you can get one. He looks something like this:

And that is not dirt on his face......

Speaking of poop, my 10-week old chicks lay on the poop boards at night. They're getting rather poopy looking. I try to encourage them to go on the roosts, but I don't think the big hens are ready to tolerate them just yet. Then, last night, I was out by the coop turning dirt in the run and all 5 little ones went out of the coop to the dark abyss *sigh* I don't foresee them surviving long with those poor choices.

THAT FACE!!! Oh my gossssssh. What in the world kind of dog is he?

I always snort in disgust at those fancy (shall not be named) dog food commercials. "Fresh salmon" "Non hormone chicken breast" "Beef Filet Mignon"... Cmon! Dogs eat feces! And afterbirth! They LOVE it....they prefer it to real food actually

I hate to say it but I think we have a cow with rabies... She is foaming at the mouth a lot and it's not cud foam. She also tries killing you when u get within forty feet of her. She also snorts at us and jumped over five strand barb wire fence that is about 4 foot tall. I am gonna video is trying to get her a mile back to the corral tomorrow. Wish me luck.

BTw she is usually really tame and you can walk up to her. This is the first time in the past four years this has happened with her.

You best have Grandpa get a vet out there. All of you may need rabies shots, as I understand they are only a couple shots in the arm now, compared to the 21 I got in the stomach 50 years ago.

Because of people coming into contact with the saliva I have heard of whole families needing the shots. With rabies it is better to be safe than sorry. There is no cure.

We are going to. I worry because its only going to be him and I in 2 feet of snow trying to get a cow out of thick woods. If she is alive in the AM we will have the vet out asap. Idk if he works Saturdays but I am sure he would make a trip.

This is filed under "news of the weird" The State patrol use to relay all "heads' from potential rabid animals to the UofM where there were sliced open and checked for rabies. The heads where packed in ice and in Styrofoam boxes.

There was a cow head that came from some where near Thief River Falls, I think 8-10 troopers touched the box and relayed it to the U. When it got to the U the doctors there said it was leaking and the head was rabid. They ended up having to give rabies shots to everyone that came in contact with the box.

I think that was one of the last heads relayed to the U, from then on it was done with couriers so only one person came in contact with the rabies.

I am slightly worried about you guys.
