Jerry What are the sun and soil requirements on the Juneberries?
The honey may firm up a bit more than the milk soap. I don't have access to a goat farmer nearby or anything, but I've seen the soap at art and craft fairs and the goats milk soap looks pretty crumbly and soft-yes. I think I may try coconut milk on my first milk soap. But you need to freeze it because as it mixes with lye it really drives up the heat and can scald the milk. Its a bit more involved making it.
I've also done beer soap with Guiness. Had to let it go flat for a couple days. Boil it about 5 minutes...etc. That soap got really warm. Again the sugars...
I have a project mare for you hahaShe's 11 years old, broke to ride, and FAST.

I made it last summer but essentially you substitute in flat guiness instead of distilled water to make the lye solution and then whatever oil mixture you want to use (soap calculator needed for correct amounts of everything) and because beer and lye smell like h-e- double hockey sticks I add honey fragrance oil. Oh I think I added some ground oatmeal to that batch too. (Oatmeal stout)TELL ME MORE. I need the "recipe"!
