I have my first PC of the year!


I hope he is a rooster, I think taking Ed out of the line up was the right play, he is just to mellow and sweet to do what needed to be done.


I might have a chance in November with a February rooster. You can bet your bottom dollar someone will have Dec or January cockerels.

I cannot say for sure. however, I am willing to bet he will not be free ranging so he can become Eagle snacks.

He will be in a pen for sure. I am thinking of moving the guineas into the building that had the whites and toads, that would give me the big pen for the Chanticlers and other birds I want to show.

As show time approaches he will live a pampered caged life. I want to cuddle and hug them everyday like Jerry taught me too.

My dad wants to start an egg business with 200 birds. Have portable coops that move around the pasture, we wouldn't have to drag as much in the fall. I'm kind of set on it too

Hopefully Luke's bill gets passed to make it easier!

@jerryse I weighed a half dozen SS eggs, the smallest was 1.70 ounces then a 1.75 ounce, I assume those are my pullet from last summer (the tree chicks).

The rest were right on 2 ounces, not a lot of variation.

No, I have such junk Guineas it is not worth showing them. They will be lucky if I do not have them all living in the freezer by June.


I was bitten a dozen times by them today, They do not like a swap shoved down their throat at all.

He does not look like much right now. It is like someone showing you their sonogram of their future kid, just ohhh and ahhhh and say nice things even though you can hardly see it and it just looks like a blob..
