I get to retest next Tuesday. There was 6 kids this morning when I got there and they just jept coming in after that so I am sure that doesnt help with moods!

I think they are harder on boys too, holm. Sorry to say. You guys have higher insurance. The works. They want you on the straight and narrow. That's for sure.

I have to confess. I got a farm kid drivers license when I was 15, I had already had a "scooter" license. That have done away with those about 50 years ago. Back then there were 302 people in town and 198 of them were over 70. I think we had a stop sign in town but I am not sure.

I had to go to the big city for my drivers test at 15. The guy said. "I hate these farm permits" then gave me the test. I failed.

The next time I got a different guy and scored 94. I, to this day, know I did not drive any different.

The revenge gods were never merciful enough to let me run into the first guy during my professional career to even the score...

I guess I have to just be satisfied the revenge gods gave me my old English teacher.

You will do fine next time. I was hoping you would pass so you could come down and get JJ Jr. as you forgot him here last time.

Bogtown. It is true that driving is a skill, especially city driving. I drive to the City's everyday for work. A few years ago my and dh were able to carpool, so i road and slept. Then he got a job in the stix, I had to drive myself and had to sharpen my skill again. Once again, use it or lose it is the way it is...

Personal Driving Test Story Here: When I went to take my test, I had a big ole conversion van. It just so happens my Dad forgot to flip the switch back to normal on the trailer brake box, so of course the nice young guy says, "I should have failed you immediately for not having functioning brake lights, but because you solved the problem without parental help, I will let you take the test." - I passed (barely but passed).

Next up 2 years later... my sister was patiently waiting in my nice little Chev Corsica to take her driving test with my dad. Womp....someone backed right into her while she was waiting for the tester to come out. "Should have failed you because you were in a car accident but because you were parked with engine off and I saw the whole thing happen we can continue on, as long as your dad reports the accident."

Next up 4 years later my BROTHER arrives at DMV, takes his test. Fails to signal at a lane change. Whamo FAILED. Brother argues the signal light in his s-10 is not loud enough to be heard. "Don't get cocky with me young man."

Next up 8 years later....Youngest Sister - worst driver ever...even to this day and somehow she passed immediately.

Moral of the story, Driving Instructors/DMV are far tougher on boys than girls. (All 3 of us sisters agree we should have failed.)

The second time I took it I was in a Volkswagon Rabbit with a sticky clutch. I took one corner in a lower gear than I intended. Probably 2nd instead of 3rd as I eased the clutch out and applied gas she groaned and jumped. I said, "Whoa, hang on there!" to the instructor.

He took note of my warning and repeated it to me at the end of my test to my mortification. He was probably actually a nice guy...I think he told me I needed more practice. Yes about 10 more years.

MNChickMom you got some classics there. LOL. But sounds like driving instructors are generally quite not nice...

Needless to say I passed the next go round with my Uncle's Automatic when he came up for Easter. Mom and Dad's vehicles were all clutch/stick shifts. Which I later in life now miss. They were fun once I got the hang of them.

I failed my first drivers test, a grumpy old man was the instructor. I think it was the same grump the second time but I passed, when I took my son for his test he had a female instructor and he passed right away.

Ralphie I think one of the pc mix hens I got from you is broody, she has been in a nest box all day. I managed to get the eggs away from her without losing any flesh then I gave her some fake eggs.
