Surviving Minnesota!

Ralphie do people in your area grow flowering pear or ornamental pear like Bradford ? Curious about their survival in the banana belt . Here I use the seedlings as rootstock . I also use quince and one of the old home rootstocks .

Ok found my answer . Cleveland select zone 4 . Quince is zone 5 . So flowering pear should grow in your area . Lots of seedlings growing wild plus root suckers on ones I have grafted . That is a minus for flowering pear they sucker but mowing keeps them in check . Kind of a semi dwarf .

PC babies! Congratulations Ralphie. They are beautiful and I"m sure they will be beautiful adults as well.

DD has one BB game left on SAturday and DS has another week of BB and then it's done. Tires on the car can cool off....

I left the door on the run open today. I hope I'm not down a bird when I get home. But with this nice weather...they should be out. Still some land lock issues with snow. But They've got quite patch they can still do some scratching about with. You can tell they are just in heaven to get out....

Yes, Ralphie! Those are your PC's and thinking about how very, very beautiful as they grow up. Thank you for sharing the pictures. I still say that all babies are soooo cute!

Came home to our dog, Maya, in the house. She's never allowed in. My mom was on a call and heard her start crying and she must have slipped or something. She cant walk on her back left leg(I think it's her left) so we have a vet appointment scheduled for tomorrow.

I would like to get some day old chicks to give her instead of fertile eggs, I want the best chance at girl chickies. I had too many boys last year.
SO does anyone have sex link chicks I can get in the next couple weeks????

I believe it's this coming weekend, bad ice. No vehicles are allowed on the ice, I wouldn't think anyone would want to be on it, walking. It's going to be a windy cold weekend. Don't know who'd want to be out there...
