Surviving Minnesota!

I went to L & M in park Rapids last night. Dangerous place. I went down the line of stock tanks that were full of chirping fuzzy chicken crack. I saw tiny d'uccles and rolly poly silver laced Wyandottes and at the end tank 'ameraucanas.' I started to tell the l& m ladies that these were likely Easter eggers. And she said 'no, the new breed Easter eggers were coming next week.' I quickly decided I was in a losing conversation as soon as she told me the EE's were crossed Araucana and another breed. I said "really auracanas are really rare." and gave up the fight and walked away.

I've bought l& m's ameraucanas before. They were willow legged ee's. anyways it's hard to reason or explain with folks.

I picked up feed and my dunks and got the hades out of there before I had rolly poly slw's in a box.

Morning . It is good . I actually planned to mushroom hunt . The 8th may be a little sudden . I will have to get the camper out and set up , the dock in , the water on , the sawmill set up . Most of the logs are already stacked ready to mill . Gotta get them milled and out of the building area . Excavator lined up and permit this trip . Busy summer ahead . Weather permitting I should have the logs milled in the 2 weeks I will be there . Then home and a weekend of bluegill spawn fishing in IL . Still got some fish in the freezer this year . I love the spawn fishing . IL has no state limit on sunfish so I stock the freezer .

I know I saw the pile at EJB's the last time I was there. a nice pile....

Good Morning Chickeners . . . . I love all the chick talk. When you confessed Holm I was 'jelly'. You have the room and living on a farm must be wonderful. Alot of work too - I know that. But still, all those babies and eggs. Cool ILL's seeing the Eagles nest. We have three Eagles around here. One must be young and in training. It sure makes alot of noise when it is up high in a tree. I noticed it following another Eagle one day. Doing exactly what that Eagle was doing. Interesting.

Are you having roast eagle for Easter?

Here is a idea Ralphie . Get your sawmill running and bring it up . We can saw that pile and then I will have plenty of time to mushroom hunt and fish with you .

I like the idea, but I doubt I will have mine running anytime soon. I am so busy I hardly have time for coffee in the morning.

I did get mine pulled out and it now sits squarely in the middle of my shed ready to be worked on.

BUT there area whole bunch of things ready to be worked on.

I need a helper, However, Holm's refuses to come here, sleep in the barn and work for his meals.

I have to give you credit on this! It is an excellent idea, except you forgot to mention what you were going to charge the participants for learning Sawmilling 101.

Well we can decide on a fee and split . Since we will be teachers . What size motor does yours have ? I have a new 13 horse briggs leftover from a build it yourself project that never got finished . Small rehoming fee of course .
