Surviving Minnesota!

Great job. Yuck. Those things are horrible! Skunk and coon are tied for the bottom of my totem pole.... Both have 0 strikes at my coop

Haha

. He was so far away from the coop though he was past our house and and halfway up a hill. My dad wants me to go show him later so we can throw him in the pit let him stink out for the night

Little chicken nuggets! Why are cornish X so much more "curious" (stupidly friendly) than other chicks? I can barely do chores without potentially squishing at least 20 at time who seem to think I am a tasty snack....

BC, do you homeschool?

Oh no. I'd definitely go through the thin fringes of Sanity. totally admire Moms that can do that, by the way. No we are public school. I have my work. They have theirs.

I feel like we should meet in the middle for coffee someday. Or, by the time we actually arrive at the destination of "middle" it would probably be happy hour..........jus sayin.......

That would be awesome. I'm pretty Mouthy on BYC. Bashful and quiet in person, right Ralphie and Jerry?

I'm getting over the internet leap of meeting people though, in person. It was sort of weird awkward at first. Because I've said so much already....

...and then living up to those standards. LOL.

As fate would have it....we are discussing kids pushing you to the edge of sanity....on the same day my 10 year old pushes me over the edge. He hid the fact that he had a hernia from me until Monday....."Look Mom my belly button can make a weird egg shape." Today, I had a Dr. appt scheduled for his pre-op appt when he pulls the I'm too tough card....I don't have to see a Doctor. I literally had to put his shoes on and open the door to push him to my vehicle. By the end of the gravel road....he had a bigger fear of his Mother's voice than he did of the doctor or the upcoming surgery.

On the chick front: We received 5 toads from Ralphie and of course an impulse buy of 4 SS. They are all happy and healthy but this morning the temp under the light was only 78 degrees so hopefully, they were not to cold. They were all running around and playing tag so I assume all was well. Those 9 can put away the feed. At 2 weeks I will start the rationing of feed.

I have some roosters for sale. I have 6 Dominques from Urch and a few Buckeyes also from Urch. Let me know if you want pictures.
