Surviving Minnesota!

On a good note I dod have 3 Buckeyes and an Olive egger hatch today. So excited! I also have Turkey and Guinea eggs in lockdown under a broody!

And my crazy bat of a turkey is going to be hatching babies in the next 2 weeks. I think... I have to go look now....

ETA she started sitting on the 14th so she is just over half way....

Tonight was the track banquet and our DD lettered as a 7th grader and also got "Rookie of the Year". She was very excited! Just a few more days until Sections. Running events start at 11:00 am.
I have 4 turkey eggs given to me to hatch out from a neighbor and friend. I have never hatched turkey eggs before. What do I need to know?? I know they take longer but I don't know how long. I would like to start them and then add in chicken eggs later so they would all hatch at the same time. Guess I am off to research.

Turkeys take 28 days to hatch so set the Turkey eggs and then a week later set the chicken eggs :)

:ya

Aww, poor guy. I had cats until 2007 or so, when they passed away. I'd love to get more but my dog would tear them apart. Evil beast.
Yup, mine, too. On the bright side, he's also a coon-killer. He's killed several this spring already. And he's either learned not to play with the skunks, or just hasn't found any yet this year. Today I saw him come *this close* to catching a rabbit. Fortunately for the rabbit, he's got a larger turning radius. Just couldn't keep with it. We don't have any fat rabbits or squirrels here.

Up where Momofmany is from the coons are the size of bears :lau Believe me they walk past my deer stand in the morning during deer season. Needless to say I have almost taken some out as they freak me out a little bit.

MY KINDLE IS TERRIBLE TO TYPE ON SO IF SOMETHING IS MISSPELLED THAT IS LIKELY WHY
