Surviving Minnesota!

Siggie: I thought the tourists fired back or something. LOL. Just kidding. I'm glad you figured it out and got back on line.

June first. Where the hades did May go?! Nuts nuts nuts.

It's always crazy this time of year, but I always feel more so each and every year.
I still need detail out and dump my Envoy with Gremlins. Need to Hay my yard. Need to clean out my flower beds. High School sports coming to an end. I might find some time off the road now to get these things done.

Hello? I just came across this thread for the first time in a long time. I guess I was following at one point, but it's been a while. I will go back and read it in it's entirety later, but have lawn work to do now that the sun is out!

I live near Grand Rapids MN :)

Terrifying, really. The year is whizzing by.

Ok I figured out I had to post to resubscribe to some threads . Got into account preferences to stop email notices . Chiropractor gave some relief yesterday . Seeing ortho DR tomorrow . A shot in the knee most likely . Need to move some growing chicks . Need pics of some to share . Rose comb Legbar project .

My SLWxChantecler rooster may know be ranked above the Chantie in my opinion. Today he took a group of hens to a bush at the far end of the yard, rather then staying at the coop where there is very little shade. The Svart HonaxIsbar also led his group to shade, in the barn which I do not necessarily approve of since I just broke the hens of laying there eggs in there.

So here I am at work and the DH calls and says we had some sort of animal walking up the drive way but when he went out to get a photo, he tripped, fell and scared it off! He said it was dark brown, about a foot long and had a round flat tail....(this of course differs from my step daughters description... @duluthralphie ..you know how that goes right? multiple witnesses NEVER see the same things! Anyhow (I digress)

So here's to hoping it was a juvenile Beaver and not a Mink or Fisher or something of that nature!!! We do have a large Beaver colony about 3 or 4 miles north of here. Based on their habits, if momma is kicking out her juvenile kiddies to make room for a new brood then it could be possible it was a young Beaver searching for a new home. My DH said it ran off towards the river when he fell. Here's to hoping....

My guess is Fisher or Otter. Otters have a flat tail at the base fishers a round tail. (that is how you can tell an otter pelt from a fisher pelt. in case you ever need too)..

Fisher would love chicken for supper, Otter would find them too much work, I think.
