Surviving Minnesota!

Hello? I just came across this thread for the first time in a long time. I guess I was following at one point, but it's been a while. I will go back and read it in it's entirety later, but have lawn work to do now that the sun is out!

I live near Grand Rapids MN :)

Hi,,, How are the last eggs doing?

My guess is Fisher or Otter. Otters have a flat tail at the base fishers a round tail. (that is how you can tell an otter pelt from a fisher pelt. in case you ever need too)..

Fisher would love chicken for supper, Otter would find them too much work, I think.
You win the prize!!! When I got home I found out they got one photo before it disappeared into the woods.... my guess is a Fisher as well, what do you think?

@Holm do you still have that blue/grey EE? It was a roster right?

Do not get rid of it if you do. I have one I am 80% sure is a girl.. I would love to try and get a flock of them. They are so cool looking..

Jerry is that possible? Is that blue dominant or recessive?

I really think you would like mine, you will need two anyway!!

Yikes that looks scary:barnie

I know right?! Looks REALLY scary. And it looks a lot bigger than my DH said it was!!

I took the dogs for a walk in the woods where they saw it run in and had them go potty everywhere in there...and of course I had to pull off several ticks when I came out, yuck!!

Then I went out to sit out by the chickens a little earlier than usual to make sure they all got in safe....I have all my chickens but was unable to count all the chicks because they were all crammed into one nest box (the grown ups will not allow them on the roost just yet - they push them off every time they try :( ) but I'm pretty sure I have them all...I think I saw all heads when I shined the light!

Ticks are gross, I just found one crawling on my belly.

Hope they are all in safe!

I put a dog house in the run for the motherless youngsters

The broody has her only chick on the roost with her. IMG_1429.JPG :love
