Surviving Minnesota!

Jerry, I grow blueberries here without difficulty and no special care. My soil is somewhat acidic although I can't say what the exact ph is. Seed germinates here fantastically it seems no matter what type of plant.
The low bush hardy varieties are very good and produce berries of excellent flavor.

Just got home from Beulah, it's 3am here. They have a volleyball tournament every year called Midnight Madness. As you can probably guess by the name and time it's played at midnight. We still don't have a coach so we drove ourselves, the seniors picked who was on JV and who was on varsity, along with positions and rotations. I was on varsity and played middle. Pool play went from 8-12, we were second overall in that. We were pretty suprised because our volleyball team has been crap for the last 10 years. Once into the actual tournament we played pretty good considering it was 1 and 2 in the morning. We suprised ourselves and everyone else and got second! I'm really happy with myself, I got a lot of really nice hits and I think 6 kills. My blocks were amazing tonight, I know I got over 25.
Sadly a lot of girls, especially one certain senior, weren't to pleased to he moved to JV...

So now it's off to bed to get up in about 3 hours.

It is my opinion that our governing bodies do more harm than good. Much of the regulations which we are forced to comply with are poorly thought out and the result of someone's money padding politicians pockets.
The latest round of restrictions has been implemented not so much to protect as to enrich.
It seems that lately we get 3/4 to an inch of rain per day. It is nice because it reduces the time required to water the pants in nursery pots, but much more and the wild rice will be sprouting again. Wish I could send some to those in the Dakotas who have drought conditions.
I wish you could send ir over here. Just thought i smelt rain. Realized it is the sprinkler
