Surviving Minnesota!

One of my Orp hens is a mom! None are her eggs but she hatched them! I took her out for water and was surprised to see she had babies already! She had two Buckeyes and three mutts. The two in this pic are EES. I have a lot of little EE babies...

Well Holms - I send you my condolences on your loss - ugh! and congrats on the new chickies. Poor little roo

Another beautiful photo Holm! Sorry about your little roo...sad...
Thanks Memphis. If only thatittke chick wouldn't have moved. He don't look quite as crisp as the hen. Although with the light the way it was I was having trouble focusing on him anyways so it does t really matter that he moved

Great photos everyone! Thanks for sharing!

Ill and holm, sorry about the losses :hit

I hope you get alot more rain ill, and good luck at the fair!

Lvie, I think we need photos of rosie and the babies. :love

Holm, your buff orp has the smallest comb I've see on an orp outside of a pullet? Lovely photo :love

At the state fair!
Birds are settled in, have been for about 8 hours. They seem to have a pretty good chance as far as Asisitics go.
There is one other black male cochin. A Cock that has a pretty beat up comb, and could be in better condition. There is also a Partridge cockerel but it's Hatchery quality. For females there is my blue pullet, who seems to be in the best condition, a Partridge Pullet again HQ, 1 black pullet, and 2 black hens. And then there is a Light Brahma Cock and Pullet. There are some interesting birds again, I really like looking at the Fantail pigeons. I will have to get a total count on birds tomorrow to see how many there are.
My dad and are the only ones up here so tonight we made steak, that was by far the best steak I have ever had!! We walked around from like 10-11 and there's definently some interesting folk here.
