Surviving Minnesota!

You guys are awesome this morning and last night. I am having a hard time not busting a gut at work today! Love the conversations!

Did I mention, I am "rescuing" 2 PC cockerels from an owner that does not appreciate them??? :lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau

I am so happy and excited to get these two back. They are beauties, that the judges at their fair failed to judge properly! They should have won.

I have their quarantine area set up for them. I have been studying up on the "Stockholm syndrome" so I can force these two anti-social birds to love me...

I put the electric poultry netting up yesterday...Not all that happy with it. It was not what I expected.

Anyone need turkeys? Someone I know has way too many.

Also back to the PC's. Mike Gilbert posted a video of a Canadian Judge talking about what he is looking for in PC. It is on the Chanticler Fanciers FB page. Well worth the look. After watching it I am going to change my breeding goals a tad. It helps so much to hear from judges over reading the SOP's.:thumbsup

Anyone need a rooster? I have a really pretty one that I don't want to butcher... If you come get him you can have him for nothing... He is very well mannered... I think he is out of an Orpington roo and Black Australorp hen... He has some Buff leakage in his hackle feathers...

Said owner...Thinks they are beautiful but they are space cadets! We named one Spazzy and the other Spazzy's brother. They really missed their biological parents.....

On a serious note the "big ornery" one is beautiful and I hope he has a long life of chick making. Hopefully, he settles his teeenage hormonal ways down.

I am not sure the names "Spazzy" and "Spazzy's Brother" are good for their self esteem...

BTW I found an emoticon of EJB or Jerry,,, Not sure which one it is..

I'm getting my birds from Mike. My cockerel has a crooked toe, but I think that'll be ok. I figure even if these birds didn't meet his show standard, they're from good lines.
