If the skunks came during the day I could claim similar, but they only come out at night, usually right at that darkest point just before dawn. I'm not going to hang around for them at that time! Raccoons are the same. Luckily for me, I have some aggressive redneck neighbors who have decided to have free range hens. Since Montana is a fence out state, it's all good, and his birds are a block away so no biggie, but there are mysteriously no longer any roaming feral dogs or wildlife around since the rednecks have taken up poultry keeping.Be a good shot and not have to trap them is what I say. I have never trapped a skunk and never want to, what mess.
My total for shooting and trapping this year is I think 4 or 5 skunks, 1 smaller raccoon, one monster raccoon, and 3 beavers. I wish i was able to do more stuff with the coyotes, we have so many out here it is ridicoulous. Hopefully I can add a big buck this fall though
