To all the other CLB peeps that were at the show this weekend, *hi!* I'm glad to have met you all!
For everyone else, hi! I'm Amber and kind of new here. I tend to stay on FB, this site kind of confuses me, but since the CLB club tends to hang here, guess I'll have to get used to it
I've got a mixed flock of about 60 chickens, 9 sheep, 6 goats, 3 LGDs, a house dog, 5 kids and a husband. Glad to be here and hoping to learn!

Slacker no more. My flock has a gorgeous, cozy run with two sweet smelling bales of dry hay and new oak leaves a foot deep. Perfectly sized cedar and pine lodge pole roosts for fluffing and covering their feet. A metal wash tub of new sand and fireplace ashes. All Wrapped in construction plastic like a tomato hot house. Just as I was finishing the rain started outside. Yuck. But the snow is gone and they all grazed on green grass while the sun was out a bit today.

We survived Hutch!
I showed a yokahamma cock (non recognized variety) and took 1st place. My cream legbar cockerel (accidently) too 1st place. My son showed a buckeye cockerel in junior division and he took best of breed best variety by default, as he was only person sowing buckeyes in junior. My daughter had a bummer weekend...she took 2nd place with her buff Orpington pulley. MOM felt guilty so mom may have bought her a birthday gift of 4 pullets and a cockerel.

Well my parents are looking at coop plans... It looks like I may just get a new coop! I will use the old one but the new one will be long with an isle and cages with runs on each side. Some for growouts and some for breeders. I guess my mom was getting plans and visiting with breeders while I was out and about this weekend

And to the worshipers of Saint Judy......She came down to support and be with me....Do you know what she did all day saturday??? Did she walk amongst the birds with me discussing their beauty and how great they were?? NO..

She asked me when she first got there what I was wearing to the banquet...

I looked at her and said " what I have on"...

She went completely WWD crazy at this.. Ran out the door and spent a ton of money I could have used on birds to buy me a bumnch of new clothes I did not need. She spent 5 hours in Hutch 4 of it shopping and one making sure the clothes fit and I was wearing them to the banquet....... WTH????

She is loco also, I should have bought her a call dux to prove it..
