Surviving Minnesota!

Morning peeps! Congrats to all at the show! We will also enjoy more photos of all the up coming new birds, birds kids. I've had a rough couple of weeks. my Boy, my Australian shepherd, has been throwing up since sunday night (he was fine all day sunday) and throwing up since. this morning at 5:30 he had a seisure. 800.00 later at the emergency vet, they don't know what is going on. or even if the throwing up and seizure is related. They gave him fluids, and anti-nausea meds. he is also very weak and wobbly, staggers when he walks. I'm worried sick. I've had many dogs, but Brox has my heart. I hope he starts showing signs of improvement. The only thing we can figure is he ate something in the yard, but don't know what... something rotten or molding in the compost?, maybe a neighbor poisoned a gopher and it came over?, or put poison along the fence line? we don't know... we are waiting to hear from our regular vet to see what he thinks...
FYI Parvo wil make them vomit .

Cluckies Good luck with your dog..

Sounds like he has whatever I have..... I wonder if I was fed poison by someone at Hutch.....Hmmmmmm

I had to run to Rogers this morning to mail a rooster. He was not happy when I shoved him in his little box. I did give him an apple to munch on..... I had great plans on everything I was going to get done today.... My Gut is not allowing this to happen. I am thinking I may have to give up Mexican food for lent and the 20 weeks before and after it....

When I got home from Rogers I could see an Eagle circling the chickens from about 1/4 mile away.... It was getting lower and lower. My yard was empty of chickens. Except for one stupid white legbar rooster standing in the middle of the drive looking at the eagle daring it to come closer...I blew the horn, screamed like a banshee and the eagle left. One white rooster is lucky to be alive.

Cluckies, I hope this turns out well. I know how stressful it can be when a beloved pet is in trouble. With the throwing up it would cause suspicion of poison ?

Ralphie, your weather report does not sound encouraging, but I am wondering if you are attempting to suppress interest in immigration to the Minnesota Banana Belt and have given an inaccurate report ?
