Surviving Minnesota!

We have gotten below zero a few times this year, but this week it is warming up to double digits, rather than the singles we had all last week. Tomorrow morning it looks like with windchill we will be down in the negatives.

Ralphie I know this little guy is still young but do you think it's a boy? He's awful stupid... We found him laying on the ground the other day not able to stand and was super stiff and thought for sure he was dead or about to be. My brother nursed the little guy back to health until he could be with his momma again...

It's got thick legs.. But leaving the warmth of Momma for the cold sounds more like a girl than a boy....... Most boys are smarter. :lau:lau:lau:lau How old is it now?

It is just kind of early to tell. Even the girls are a little thick and have big feet,

It was 18 degrees here at 12:01 this morning, and the temp is downhill from that all day they say. Possible below zero tomorrow morning ?! Hope it gets rid of some of the vermin.
I have projects outside today regardless. This is not so bad ?!
The Mn. Banana Belt will be much warmer I am sure.

It did get cold here, but I don't think it affected the coconut crop, yet. A few of the banana's were tinged a bit.

Pineapples look as good today as they did yesterday.. All in all a chilly breezy day... Of course, I had to leave the nice warm house, and go "look" at the WWD's car. She claims a tire is low on air.....No idea which one. I told her a sensor was bad, but that was not good enough... So I froze my cute little behind off checking the air in her tires.. I have those indicator valve stem caps on her car. With my gloves on, I managed to drop one and it rolled under the middle of her car, so I had to get on my belly and wiggle under to get it...NOT FUN!...

I got back in the house and she says. Did you check to see how tight the nuts are??..
So back out to practice the futile act of checking the tightness of the lug nuts.... All tight.... That woman can have more imaginary problems with her car than anyone I know.

I have learned after nearly 45 years no sense trying to reason with her...just go do the foolish waste of time she thinks should be done. I keep telling her to find a garage, but she never does.

And you guys call her Saint Judy....I had some pet names for her myself, which I kept to myself, but none of them had the word saint in it.

Did the usual morning flock tasks - that little sicky bird is not moving! To drink, to eat. So I brought her in to thaw out. All the other birds are warm and moving. She is too small and not able to maintain body heat. All this an all i want is eggs. Where is my head?

The birds were extremely "happy" with last nights snow...
