Surviving Minnesota!

Good Morning..
Nothing new to report yet,,,,Slept late and just got out of bed, but I did get my Coffee made, and opened my first yogurt of the day. Starting a new week with hopes of not doing a hospital visit this week...

As you age the tell tale signs of a successful week are so much less than when one is younger.
Sure hope so, you've been through the wringer recently...

It was moving day for the buckeyes, dominques and Rhode island reds. Here are pictures of the pens and a few of the hatch room. 6 completed pens and one to be determined room. View attachment 1194954 View attachment 1194955hatch room
Wow, Wow, Wow! I WANT.
MNchickMom you are in a chicken heaven there of a set up!

Turkey day has been good to us. Probably too good. Turkey coma going on here. Two days of it.

I’ve been knitting. Researching Norwegian pattern mittens. The patterns are called Selbus. I just love them. So I made my first mitten. Researched. Colors picked out for my coat. Knitted for three nights. Proudly laid out on the dining table.

I get home Wednesday evening after work to look at my selbu. It’s not on the table.

“Sadie...!”

You can throw an 8-ball through that hole. This dog is ready to go to its new home. Free! Who wants a chicken trained duck dog Pita? Hmmm?

So that’s what I’ve been up to. Knitting. Clickety click. And it appears there will be more knitting than I expected...?
Oh, no.... Sadie... smh

Do you also do probiotic pills? If not, get those going...

Here are some photos of the girls enjoying the new leaves in the run, and the new peat moss in the tubs. The bottom photo is from the hen cam, which you can see in the top photo needs to be cleaned off... lol

Set 16 Cochin eggs today
6 from BLF-2. I have never shown her but she is not a bad bird, I got her in September '16 from Jamie Matts
8 from BLF-3. Thats the blue pullet that got Reserve Asiatic Pullet at state fair and reserve overall at county. I got her in February '17 from Jamie
And the male over them is BM-1, Reserve Asiatic at state fair, also from Jamie

My PC is the one hatching them, she will be 5 years this spring so I think this will be one of her last batches

Mr. T also escaped today along with a few chickens and you wouldn't believe how well trained they are! I walked out of the coop and scolded them and they just walked right back into the run! I wish I would have taken a video of them!
