Surviving Minnesota!

I will have to check into this chalk board wax. I don't want to give up on the idea. and dry erase boards are not feasible in my opinion. (Dried out expensive markers that freeze.)

Thanks Ivie!

I have done chalk board paint to write on and on Kerr jars (way cool) and then I found out about the wax. Its a little spendy but it goes a long, long way. People love chalk board paint so I figured that the was - about $16. was worth the expense for the gifts I would be making. So I did it.

Posted on a FB page I read, they were wondering what and how you would get this color... I guess they were posted as Grandmother, daughter, granddaughter. Lovely...

Oh, They said it was a blue buff Brahma... lovely again.

good morning Chickeners . . . .
Yawn - In reading your stories about the pets and the counter attacks - I am reminded of our now four-year old lab. We got her at about 11 months and partially because I felt so sorry for her. IF she got that stick of butter off the counter of her prior home - it meant a beating and her kennel. IF she drank out of the stool - it meant a beating and her kennel. Not to mention other stuff. PUT the butter away and CLOSE the toilet lid dumb dog owners! And then BEAT YOURSELF by running into the support in the attic until you knock yourself out. Poor baby. Ugh! Still makes me angry!

Ivie if you have the name of this wax or a picture of the can. Or even where you bought it I would be very grateful. THANK YOU in advance!

Well my Sportsman is up and running! Thank you Ralphie, MNchickmom and Mr. MNchickmom! With your instructions my dads electrician friend could figure this thing out!

DH said if you lived an hour closer he would have just paid you a visit and wired it up for you!
How are your temps holding?
We found that we need to have the incubator in a room at or above 62 degrees. Then we came up with the idea of wrapping the incubator in the thin reflective bubble wrap. (DH executed "our" idea.) BEST IDEA EVER! We noticed significantly less heat loss. I won't lie it did take a while for him to cut out all the little vent holes, hinges etc.
