No ramp to the roost. They use it during the day. They just don't sleep on it at night. Never have. They're all up on the top roost as we speak.

I just swap waterers out multiple times to keep fresh water out there. Probably time for a dog dish.

I use the heated pet bowls in winter - I have a one quart heated bowl for my breeding pens of 3 or 4 birds and I have the 1 gallon heated for my layers (9 - 12 hens) I only refill once a day. I check twice a day but only refill once. They are a lifesaver.

I tried to get the dog to clean the pocket out and she wouldn't if it was poop she probably would. She prefers her eggs cooked with some bacon on the side.

Maybe you should have fried up some bacon real crispy and rubbed it into the egg in your pocket...

Good morning all. Getting mentally prepared for another 6 inches of snow. Good insulation for the nursery plants. Two men attacked by a bear in the Northland yesterday.
I don't believe I have ever put an egg in my pocket, as I know it would not likely turn out well.
