Runnings has the best I have foundSpring is almost here!!
Ralphie, sorry to hear about the Large comb situation. I think large combs should be optional in he north for all breeds. But who cares what I think, lol
Not looking forward to the lower temps coming up. I have to go out and try and find some big pine shavings. Last batch I got from TS were just slivers,I can't use those as my birds just eat them... Fleet farm only has tiny shavings, starting to get frustrated here.

Arg. A big rough night already.
I did it to myself. and Sean Connery. Left the back door open to the run. Forgot this morning. At about 4:20 today. Broad daylight before our very eyes in the front yard:
Sean has two tail feathers left some scrapings and punctures to his back and looks like he’s had the bejeezus shook out of him. I’m sure he’s shocky. He’s in the warm house and a 15 year old with tears in her eyes syringing sugar water and electrolytes. Now nestled in a clothes basket, dark room and waiting for my assessment in a day or two. If he’s with us still. He can stand. He can turn his head sidevto side. He can get back on his feet from his back.
DS scrambled for the right firearm. Then find the shells. but things move fast out there. And now we’re planning his return.
Smart bugger knew what time I closed the door and came early too. Earlier than before because the Pop doors been shut. My thoughts are that Sean was waiting for Sunny Two to roost and he got caught out there or he went to save his girl. He’s been my extra rooster and I’ve been thinking about culling him because he’s so randy. I mean this fox knows how to pick them for me... honestly. But who’s next... ? We’re thinking and hoping him.
