Surviving Minnesota!

Thanks! It is not as nice and big as yours, which is lovely :) But when I retire I hope to get another or more coops, lol. Right now I can only handle a small amount of chickens.
I think I am a little nuts in my coop size selection. :gig This one is a downsize from my last coop, but I will be building more pens in spring so I should be able to fit all my birds in nicely.

Well, the run is basically Cinder blocks, 2x4's, 2x6's, metal roof, and hardware cloth. I really didn't keep track of price too much? I'd say though the lumber was the most expensive as the hardware cloth is all sandwiched between 2- 2x4's or a 2x4 and a 2x6. Try to buy the lumber onsale... next would be the 1/2"hardware cloth, that stuff is pretty spendy, also get that onsale. The metal roofing wasn't bad.
It all adds up though!
(I'll ask my husband when he gets home what he remembers was most spendy, he may have a better memory of it than me, I just wanted what I wanted, lol)

We are having one of those old fashioned cold spells from when I was a kid. The ones where each time you pull in a breath it hurts to the bottom of your lungs.

I must say I a little depressed over this. i was sure with the last 40 years of global warming we would never have to experience again..

Elect me and I will put stop to this silly cold!
