I thought it was just me that said, "Oh crap...open the windows get the exhaust fans running, this air is stale."
It also did a number on my incubator....I was so proud during the cold period I was holding steady at 35%, this morning went out to check on things and it had spiked to 45% same set up.
Yesterday I was complaining to Ralphie that my temps were swinging a bit low in the incubator, and that I thought about adjusting the digital thermostat. He said, "Be careful only 1/2 degree at a time." So I go out to investigate, low and behold someone moved the thermostat probe to right next to the heating element. So I taped the probe to the side wall thinking....This will teach you all! I went out to check this morning and wouldn't you know it 3 thermometers are reading 101. So I pressed the buttons to read the history. 2 of the 3 had a history of 108 and one had a history of 101. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the history has never been cleared and that I didn't wreck 3 weeks of embryos! Eeek.......
Layers......my hens have not gotten the message either I have 9 breeding hens and I only set 16-20 eggs per week. Not good odds!
