Holms, I am beginning to wonder about you and your family. With all those critters in the house I am beginning to believe that all of the hillbillies are not in WV ?
I don't know anything about this Chicken Chick other than what has been posted here, but I believe she should have the title of Lunachick. Some of those APA officials are not the brightest bulb in the batch, so I can see how they could be hood winked.

Brrrrr...cold enough that we had a 2 hour late start for school. I've stalled long enough and have to bundle up now to get chores done. PSTTTT...If anyone hears of more swap/exotic auction dates, please message me with them so I can get them on FB and my farm website. I have quite a few already, but nothing much for central/northern MN on the list yet.

EJB I'm not quite a hillbilly. Just felt bad for the Bantam Cornish... They couldn't take the -1 in the coop... So I brought them inside. BUT they are going back right away! All my other Bantams are doing great in the cold including the Silkies. I don't think Cornish are made for our Minnesota weather so they may go... Idk... I am a sucker for the tiny fufu breeds and have been looking at some Black Cochin Bantams but can't decide if I want some or not...

Oh and so far our best cold hardy birds are our Sumatras. Even our Buckeyes got some frostbite on their peacombs! The Sumatras have been te least effected by the cold...

Ok Holms, I will accept that you are not a hillbilly. I once owned some Dutch Bantams.
Prettiest little chickens you could ever have, but they could not survive here unless in a heated coop. They are gone now, and I swore that I would not keep chickens again that required a heated coop.
Incubator in the basement and chicks in the basement for 1 week, but after that they are out in chicken housing. No chickens in the area normally occupied by the humans.
We are all labeled as chicken weirdo's by some, but I will not be a chicken weirdo who keeps chickens in his house.
