Call me crazy but I cross my fingers for more Cockerels in a hatch... I find it harder to get a good male than a good female... Most of the females I hatched are decent birds and could go in any breeding pen but Cockerels are a little different.

Funny, I have nice cockerels out my ears right now.Call me crazy but I cross my fingers for more Cockerels in a hatch... I find it harder to get a good male than a good female... Most of the females I hatched are decent birds and could go in any breeding pen but Cockerels are a little different.
Ralphie, at my advanced age I have come to subscribe to the philosophy " a happy wife insures a happy life".
Shortly after hatch at my place they are out brooding in a building designated specifically for chickens. What may the residents of your political district think of a man who keeps chickens in his basement ?
Is it possible that you and Holms are related ? It seems that you are both beginning to display some tendencies which might be attributed to Hillbillies ?
I think it's mainly just the Buckeyes. They are hit or miss it seems like. Either you have a good bird or a really bad bird...Funny, I have nice cockerels out my ears right now.

This cat salesman should be punished for false advertising his cats! Our cats are slacking! I have had to kill two rodents in the feed area the last two days! Granted no cats can get back there!Speaking of Hillbillies..
I would like to express further dissatisfaction with Hillbilly Used Cat sales and their lead salesman.
First the one of the cats I bought broke into 4 pieces.
Handling of the cats required two pairs of leather gloves.
Then one of the pieces disappeared at a young age.
After that I found GC hates OC and ran it out of the barn forcing poor OC to sleep in a tent. OC only dares to enter the barn when following me. I was told these were both Barn cats!
Now I have lost another piece of GC. It appears the young son of GC has run off. I have not seen him in a week.
GC appears to be ready to break into pieces again.
I appear to have tree rodents still alive and kicking, some red and some grey. I was promised the barn cats I bought would end the rodent problem.
This Used Cat Salesman is completely unreliable and dishonest in his selling, and the cats are sub-par.
Something must be done or Hillbilly cats will lose all credibility...
This VWNer would love to demonstrate by coming to your breeding pens and selecting the quality cockerels. For herself. One has to wonder if a VWN'er really knows what a quality cockerel is.
