Anyone ever eat chicken feet ? I had some at a Chinese buffet yesterday . Seasoned nicely . Sure not much on them .
Do mulberries grow where you are ? They grow here . Chickens love the fallen fruit . Never saw mulberries in the far north .

I have never tried chicken feet :sick just seems too gross, but they are supposedly great for soup.
Never heard of anyone grow mulberries around here but I guess there is one that'll grow in zone 4 -since I'm zone 3, I probably wouldn't try.

-7 today. Boy was it cold.....only 2 frozen waterers and the barn was down to 29 degrees.

Both Cream Legbars are laying....yesterday my son picked 2 eggs and this morning I picked another. Played a game of Foot Tag with the Buckeye rooster this morning. He didn't like that I picked his girlfriends broken egg up before he could eat it.

Yesterday at 6pm Day 21 of my hatch started. By 7pm I had 2 Doms, 1 Buckeye, 1 Toad hatched. I may need to enlist the help of a used Cat salesman to show me how to AI my buff orpingtons. I tried the vent fluff trimming but that is to no avail. I know the Cock is good as he sired a batch of chicks in October. I can not pull in the 2nd stringer (Cock) as he has mites and his color is just a little light.

Just finished watching Groundhog Day movie . Thanks Banty . Time to do my first egg run . Frozen eggs possible today . So had my 8 week check on the knee . No Xray . Another checkup in 4 weeks . Xray then . Doing pretty good . I ran out of supplement for a few days and was feeling pressure in back of both knees . So been back on supplement for a few days and the knees feel good .

Will you be around next weekend? If you seperate the Buff make 4-5 days before hand I could definitely show you how to AI them.

I have never seen a Mulberry bush/tree. I see they grow in zone 4, but I am more into 3 than 4. I can get a few zone 4 things to grow for a few years, then a winter like this kills them off.

I think I need to burn more tires and inner tubes to speed up global warming before I could grow them. I am going to ask my Brother-in-Law who farms by Rochester, they have a better growing season that us.
