Idk if I have told you guys this but these Orps are my favorite birds I think... They love being pet and are just really sweet birds.

Dang... I just saw pictures of a guys Barred Chantecler project and they are beautiful birds! Only saw a Pullet but she was great!

Me too! He was a lot better than the rooster I have now. I think I accepted to get some birds from Schocker. He had a heck of a Pullet at Hutch for sale but someone ha already bought it... I wonder who that was?

I just checked the basement.......It appears I have about a half a dozen or so, non-green legged partridge chanticlers living down there. One CLB rooster that is looking pretty decent and a ton of SS. I have a couple doms and CLB pullets..

January may not have been as bleak as I thought..

I just came in from doing chores.... 4 eggs! Freeloaders abound here!

You all know I am not a famous Chicken cuddler like Jerry or EJB, but my SS sure act cuddled. When I come in the barn they start whining like spoiled kids. When I go into their pen, they swarm my feet and want to be held, picked up or petted. it amazes me considering the only one I have ever held was cuddles and that was to tame him down for the judges.

In all fairness, I do have one CLB pullet, the one the judge gave the second place nod too,,,,,,,behind the rooster that was stolen from me....
that runs to the door in the CLB breeder cage to be petted and monkeyed with. but I just consider her touched in the head, as no other CLB has ever been remotely friendly here.
