They dig burrows . Many people are surprised they can climb . I have seen them in trees eating buds before things green up good . They normally wakeup in mid March here . Chasing and breeding are the first things they do . Greenery can be scarce in March .

I know I was just being a putz. We had one in a tree here. We use to have a pile of railroad post things and there was a family of te things in them every summer. Shoot the momma and the babies just keep coming out. I can’t tell you how many of those things I’ve killed.

If these darn birds would start laying golden eggs it wouldn’t be impossible! Before I focus on golden eggs I should probably try and find birds that lay...
