Surviving Minnesota!

Some candling pictures... I have noticed my fertility rates have been a lot better so far this year and the embryos seem ALOT healthier and active than past years. I have been feeding my breeders better than ever this year so I assume that helps?

Wind is so bad here, suprised our house, which is on a hill, has not blown away!
No power outages here but 65 miles west, where I used to live, they have power out. Hopefully ours stays on

We are in a weird hole or something. Like the eye of a hurricane?. Any ways there was about 1 inch of new white stuff this morning. They cancelled school. I took two kids to drivers’ tests at 1:00. Because they were not going to allow cancellations. I called to ask. Turns out roads were clear and bone dry. Weird. Get back home and at 3 a short squall of white out snow. 20 minutes. Stop. Another started for a couple hours then stop. I don’t think we have more than Couple more inches. Just snow. No ice thank heavens. It was weird eery like all day though. You know what I mean?

Two new drivers on the roads folks. Watch yourselves. :)

I know what you mean. Even though it was snowing and blowing here all day, the sky was that weird color you get right before or after a storm in the summer.

Good morning to all. BC good the young ones passed the drivers tests.
We have the continued very strong winds gusting above 50 mph, but thus far no rain or snow. The big lake has done it's job, as just South of here is much different situation. Not a good day to drive to the TC, but there is never a good day for that.
Hens are almost in full daily production.
Be careful out there, as most of you likely have ice with a snow cover to deal with.
