Oh trust me...I can’t wait to drive the family nuts with ventures to different chicken swaps this summer. Looking forward to meeting local chicken people to start “accidentally” building my flock of fun chickens.

So I am still working on leftover from camp day yesterday . Stock and fat to pack . Dogs got bones yesterday . Byproducts to cook outdoors today for dogs . Entrails feet and heads . Yes same stuff that goes in dog food .

This post brought me back in time (ok just a few weeks ago). We are studying for 4H Poultry Knowledge Bowl....the volunteer who leads our group says, "What are giblets?" without a pause or missing a beat one of the youth members says, "The stuff you give to Grandma". Our team name soon became "Granny's Giblets".

Can't wait for State meet on April 7th!

Get your husband to the Hutchinson show this fall. My family siblings weren’t a fan of birds until that show and now they are addicted. Plus there is quite a few BYCers that go!

Ralphie I thought about making Chinese dim sum from the chicken but changed my mind . Those parts I thought of adding to the stock pot as some do but again said no. So they went in the byproduct pot .
