They turn into disgusting messes very easily, even with large grid HWC. I tried it once for juvie birds when I had no other place to put them and it was awful. Maybe if you had something even bigger in diameter.

Talk to Craig Hansen, he uses wire floors and it works reallt well for him

I think for my smaller breeds it would work good but idk... Someone told me they are easy to clean but Bantu seems to have had a different experience...

Could have been my fault too, lol. I also disliked how hard getting feathers out of them was. Can't just scrape them up off the floor, they get stuck and then get poopy. Maybe a removable floor?

Removable floors would work too... I’m just sick of cleaning multiple pens 2 times a week lol. I probably don’t have to clean them that often but I am a clean cage freak.

I may try a cage with wire floor just to see what happens. I might have to do some Experimenting
