This is what a fully grown Sicilian buttercup rooster looks like.(our mystery chick from Murray Mcmurry) I think the buttercup comb is pretty cool
 
Is the Harbin pear and actual pear that will survive Zone 2 and produce fruit??
It is a wild species Pyrus Usarian spelling may be off . Small pears that are not really good . It was used to make hybrids like Ure and Golden spice eating pears that are hardy .
 
My roofs all slid clear of snow yesterday. Today is damp and chilly outside....IMHO.


I grabbed a couple hens and felt their crops. They have been digging in the leaves and scratching the ground all day. Their crops are full! Days of lower feed bills are ahead soon!
