Absolutely. Had the smoker going, got the garage cleaned out, kids playing throughout the neighborhood. Was a good day.

Also, we made it a week without losing any chicks. I am taking an embarrassing amount of satisfaction from that.

It's always a good week when you don't lose any chicks. I just got mine yesterday. One didn't make it through the night (I wasn't surprised), so I went to replace that one and bought two more just because they were there. I have a total of 30 chicks now. Close to half will be freezer fillers.

We had the smoker out today as well.. Smoked ribs and had medallion steaks for lunch.. The ribs were for supper and we had a few people over...


My brother and I went over to a friends place and shot a huge beaver... Then while at my grandpas I went to kill a “rat” and ended up getting chased all over by a fricken Muskrat.. I literally had to kill it in self defense... It was chasing me all over and I couldn’t get away from the thing.... (this is a different grandpas farm than the one most of you have been at. It’s alot more open)

This guy was a monster. Biggest beaver any of us have ever seen. We went to our friends grandparents house to show them and he said it’s the biggest he has ever seen...

These guys absolutely destroy... Thhey are beautiful but they really damage bank lines on the creek and they build dams that flood the hay field...

The birds were enjoying this weather... We are going to be doubling the size of the run once the frost goes out...

And I found these ugly little things in top of my Grandpas (where the muskrat tried getting me) big shop... Ugly little things

Hey there MN! Duluth area here. I am looking to rehome my polish rooster. He was an accidental boy last summer, about 10 months old. My local Facebook group post is not getting any takers.

Yeah, we know that is going to be the next step. We’d rather it be someone else who dispatched him than us, though. He wasn’t raised to be a meat bird so it tougher.
