Surviving Minnesota!

View attachment 1402630

This was Monday morning for me as I was taking Dad to his oncology appointment.

A distracted young woman with two unrestrained dogs in her car rear ended a man waiting to take a left turn careening him into onComing traffic—my son at 55 mph. He launched like the dukes of hazard.
His airbag did not deploy. But his seatbelt was on and Chevrolet truck steel wrapped around him held. He got out . He is very sore. But alive.

If you pull out a phone while you drive, if you drive with dogs unrestrained around you.—- we’re going to talk.

Mad. Sad.

Grateful.
So glad your boy is OK!

Hot and humid here . Hiding inside and only short sprints of time outside . Ugh so much needs done . I bet Ralphie is struggling with the heat also .

Another ‘fun’ photo.

God’s loving arms and seatbelts were everything here.

Please buckle up this weekend.
BC..so glad he is ok.
You know, I drive my dogs to the vet about once a year for shots. .it's about 30 minutes. They have always just layed in the back seat and been good. . this scares me. I will be putting the seat belt leashes on them next time I go just to be safe. :hugs

When you drive your dux anywhere...no seat belts please....

It has been unseasonably warm here and the forecast is for more of the same. We got only about 4/10s of an inch of rain here and we could surely use more. The chickens do like this weather and enjoy the day free ranging.
I currently have a Wheaten Marans hen that wants to be broody and may allow her the opportunity to hatch a few chicks ?

Good morning all. I had a fun proud dad moment yesterday. They ran the "SuperStar mile" at school yesterday. The fastest 2 kids of each grade and each gender went out and ran a mile in front of cheering classmates. My 1st grade son ran a 6:22 to tie for fourth in the school. It was fun to get to watch him run.

It was also a good reminder for me of why I made this career change awhile back. There's no way If have been able to attend before.

Good morning...

moved my last batch of babies outside yesterday...

My oldest batch of broody babies are mostly feathered now so I am kicking her out and the babies can stay locked up. She is going to be ticked but oh well... I need the space and she is raising show babies (maybe) so they aren't going outside...
