Surviving Minnesota!

Hey BC I have magic lilies starting to bloom . Yours should bloom in the next month . Some survived along my shed at the lake . Be in your area Thursday evening . Hey no mushroom reports from you or Ralphie . Too busy I know . I will try to look a little but no 5 mile hikes for me .

I can see why your Mother refuses to let you clean those huge things you call "feet" in her bathroom. I am sure the creek is a little polluted when you finish washing your feet in it even...

Holms, I was wondering if the only time you clean your feet is when you are going to the fair ? Must get quite ripe in between times ?
I was wondering what that smell was around here :lau:lau:lau:lau

Teenage boy feet:sick:sick:sick
I considered making my boy wash his feet elsewhere believe me. :sick

I sure like that cockerel. His demeanor concerns me though. He doesn't seem to take care of his girls. When they pile up to sleep, he's on bottom rather than top. Doesmt find them treats, just eats them, etc. Maybe that's a youth thing or him making a point of not being too dominant with the roo around.

Most young cockerels are very submissive around hens and won't take a lead role with a dominant cock in the way. Some cockerels stay like this, and some will fight their way in. My two dominant cocks will not let cockerels near the hens, feed them or take care of them at all

The 4 pullets and cockerel effectively have their own flock. They're together with the hens and cock, but steer clear. All of my chickens sleep on the floor of the coop. The older ones in the SE corner, younger in the NW corner.
