Surviving Minnesota!

There have been a few yucky too hot days but I'm not ready for winter. If September would last for 6 months it would be heavenly.
Imagine how much outside work could get done. Maybe I'd actually get that growout pen I want this year instead of this decade.

Found an armadillo here today. Dead by the tracks. A couple of the boys grabbed it and put it in their pickup but the game warden came and got it. Apparently there were 5 other dead ones found by the pool a while back too
Wow ! I hear some armadillos carry leprosy .

This steer just keeps getting better... At 5 months he looks great for a home grown... Gonna make a good fat for the show ring if I can keep that hair on him...

I am to cheap to buy Keipper cages, lol. So I make my own. These are spacious enough to have a breeding pair of LF cochins in them.

I doubt they would even know what leprosy is, apparently this summer there have been quite a few found around town

Armadillos?!? I thought they were more of a warm climate southern critter! But then, we have opossums now when we never did, so why not armadillos in ND?

That it would!

I love Keippers cages because they fold flat! Plus if I get out of poultry I can resell these for close to what I bought them for.
