Almost ready to move the first batch of chicks (Four weeks old Thurs) int othe coop. My dilemma: I really, really, really love my Jersey Giants, and now want to rehome the other 17 (Lots of bhramas, and bantie brahma, some white cochins and others), as my coop can hold 20 ish, but not 33.

Best way to find a home for four week old chicks?

Craigslist, posters (if allowed) at your nearest feed or farm supply store, find a friend with Facebook and ask them to advertise on your local rummage sale groups, ads in your local shopper paper if you have one, word of mouth.

Morning . A bantam hatched 5 of her own chicks yesterday . She started setting while I was gone as planned . Brought her and chicks into the basement . No pictures sorry .

Sad to say I’m gonna have to haul my baby into the sales barn this weekend. Didn’t get bred and can’t afford to give her a free pass.. Not going to be an easy day. Won’t be able to wear a tough guy face.

I get that you've gotta do what you gotta do. There will be another one for you next year.
