I lost 2 birds last week/weekend to the neighbor dog, all is well now but sad loss as they both just started laying and were my best birds. I'm looking to replace if possible.

2 started pullets (6mo-1yr), orpington for sure and perhaps another orpington, Sussex, Bielefeld, jersey giant, Brahma or any other gentle friendly L or XL egg layer. Might even consider a cochin even though they have smaller eggs, from what I'm reading, and only lay for a short time span during their life.

I'm in the Stacy, MN area and willing to travel 50ish miles or so for the right birds.

Good Morning all!

I am so glad to be done with the campaign. Other than Vicki and family who live in this district, none of you know how dirty and rotten it got. Judy has been in tears over the mean and nasty things said about us. All were lies and half truths.

I am hoping for a win today, but it would be a miracle after the Democrats ruthlessly attached my name and picture to 2 brochures attacking the GOP candidate. I had purposely not went negative the entire time. People ask why the campaigns are so negative, it is because the negative BS works. I may never have the reputation I spend 65 years building after the last couple weeks.

EJB I was truly hoping to bring change to the state for the better. You may hear about me in the news in the next few weeks yet. My campaign, with my blessing has filed suit against the MN DFL house caucus and the Democratic candidate for multiple campaign law violations. These are both state and federal.

I can finally get back to life as normal raising my chickens, turkeys and mushrooms. I had to even drop my NPIP this last month as I did not have time for the quarterly tests required in MN.

I will spend today working in my coops and getting ready for winter. Tomorrow I will start to find some of the 500 signs I have out and pick them up. Anyone need a used campaign sign?

While that may be true. The hope of changing things for the better for people of your generation made it worthwhile. I am not happy with country we are leaving you.

Ralphie, I wish you luck.
I am tired of all the campaign ads on TV and all the negative statements.
Most of the negative bashing from both sides is either not true or an extreme exaggeration in my opinion.
I worked for decades in an industry that proved to me that most people are either ignorant of the facts or easily misled by BS. It can not be overcome by integrity and taking the high road, as that is the short road to failure.
There is much more satisfaction and sense of accomplishment in working with livestock as opposed to with people. Sad but true I believe !

I will have to say that as a land adjoining neighbor to the dfl candidate it was tough not to storm her house and ask “what the .....are you thinking?”

The stunts and slander they pulled were ridiculous at best. I admire Ralphie all the more as he was given tons of insider dirt (on both candidates) but he never once considered using it for his personal gain.
