Surviving Minnesota!

We’ve got about 6-7 inches. Started at 8:30 last night. It’s so pretty. I’m at home. Boss suggested a snow day today and I took him up on it. It’s a beautiful winter wonderland out there.

Going to do some shoveling here in a bit for the 1/2 way mark.

Birds got another flock block today as the recipe makes two rounds.

Kids catching fish . Dads got skunked yesterday in Canada. Still waiting on a picture of a greenie

Where is the dislike button when you need it.

You must take into account her living below the Mason Dixon line also remember she is the "lunch lady" and as such enjoys torturing us in the Banana Belt because we are so blessed......

ILL I have a freezer full of Halibut, Rock Fish and Salmon from Alaska. I prefer northern to Halibut. I like Grouper better than Halibut even fresh smelt can beat Halibut......I can understand your confusion on fish and ranking them for taste. If L lived 4,576 miles from the nearest lake like you do I would be confused also...( Much as Fake Eilleen is confused about what makes winter, winter)

BTW I shoveled snow today. One should not shovel snow in my condition. I have decided to leave the rest for Judy.

I thought I might need the bobcat to move the heavy wet stuff, but the ATV worked fine today. The snow looked like the wake behind the boat when it came off the blade, 95% water.

I am off to Runnings. I need to exchange the three legged Ice fishing stool I bought Judy for Christmas....( No, she was not as excited about getting an ice fishing stool as I thought she would be)....

BTW I did buy her a 1/2 inch De Walt Max Drill for Christmas too.....She does not know I bought it for her yet.....She almost opened it when it arrived from Ebay. That is on EBAY!! They delivered it 3 days early and she was home that day......

I managed to hide it, I think. She saw the handle for it, but I successfully convinced her it was for the drill I had and the rest was a Christmas present.....

I am fairly sure the "Oh, that, I have had it for ages" line will work around Easter time....

And "Yes" I often buy Presents for Judy that she does not know about.... But it is ok, because my son does it too...BUT he got in trouble yesterday....I guess buying a truck and saying you have had it for a while does not work,.,,, He should have known better, I taught him better.

I love northern and walleye and halibut and smelt and.... my dh doesnt like to fish. If I buy some or am given some I usually have to cook it when he isn’t home and then air the house out good so I don’t have to listen to him complain. Or put it on the grill....

We probably have gotten 8 inches of snow so far.

Oh I have a broody I don’t want a broody.

Bone and Joint appt today. Came back with another brace, yay me.

Erli I feel you on the broody, not sure why they are thinking this time of year

It rained , then got really windy 35-45 MPH and rain again . At least it is not snow . Hey during my boredom I have looked at lots of nursery sites . Identified a tree / shrub that I have seen . Eastern wahoo . A native ornamental . Even grows in Mn . Never seen it there . Kind of rare here but I have a few on my property .
