Those are fancy racing homers
Well!!! Are you saying my Neighbors pigeons are second class? They are not going to like to hear this...
In other news....It was moving day again at Ralphie's Chicken Ranch for contrary fickle poultry. I moved 4 Rp hens yesterday (or day before at my age it is hard to recall exact items). I moved the RP hen that retreated to the rafters into the pen for NTAB training. I also picked the breeder Tom I wanted and put him in with them for NTAB training and parenting classes. It ended up being the same Tom I used last year. He has the best markings and body type IMHO.
I might put the odd colored ones in with the layers. I have not decided. It appears I will not get the pens done in time. I got 3 turkey eggs today.
I picked up 2 frozen eggs (princess's sister.daughter/cousin or whatever. 2 eating eggs, and 2 hatching eggs, White legbar and Speckled Sussex. The SS egg might become breakfast as I think I have enough of them hatching.
I assigned Hoover special duty today. I had a toad with her head in the nest and 2 broken crushed eggs under her beak. She claimed innocence, but I think she lied. Hoover is to rehabilitate her. I put the two of them in the honeymoon suite so he could watch over her and practice becoming a Daddy.
Hoover is a go getter, It did not take him 5 minutes before he started practicing to become a Daddy. However, he is a little perverted, he asked for another hen for a threesome...... I told him I would consider his request, but it looks doubtful if I start getting toad eggs again.
I gave the hen oyster shells in addition in case she just needed the calcium and was not getting enough from the layer mash. If I start getting eggs in the toad pen and there are no eggs in the honeymoon suite in a week or so, she might become the first volunteer to try the new grinder. Lots of chickenburger on her!
I am thinking I have A Dom egg eater and maybe a legbar eater. If there are more egg eaters we might have a grinding party for them all.
