Surviving Minnesota!

View attachment 1680625 For some reason this picture reminded me a a certain individual that posts on this thread often. Does anybody have any idea who that would be?
I am not sure, but I think this could be a young Holm, but I am confused because he is not married yet, despite my attempts to find him a mail order bride...

I had only 4 chicks hatch from the last setting.....3 Doms and one SS I had to help out of the egg. I thought the SS would be dead last night. I was wrong one of the healthy Dom's keeled over.

I am so tired of setting frozen, cracked ugly eggs. I want spring. Right now I am getting no chickens eggs so it does not matter. I have 18 chicken eggs and 61 turkey eggs to go in today....After I get back from another funeral.

I am thinking of making the SS into a house chicken.....I am meeting some resistance from the WW on that.....Of course, if she knew about the 9 basement chickens it would make the house chicken not seem so bad....maybe..

I just finished raking snow off the run there was a lot and it was kind of packed. I had to wear snowshoes for the back side cause the snow was so deep. I only fell down twice and it’s not easy getting back up.:lau The snow shoes aren’t the kind to get on and off easily. Why buy new ones when we don’t always get this much snow! :old

I want to see eelpout curling... i have visions of them using their tails instead of brooms :lau

Eelpout are natural curlers... when you pull them from the water they curl right around your arm and wrist....the good thing is they seldom bite.
