Morning . Cool and cloudy again today . Will struggle to get to 60 like yesterday . A few early morel finds in my county . None for me yet . I picked 2 asparagus spears in my patch yesterday . So it has started . Others were up but not tall enough to pick . Smoking fish again today .

Good Morning all....It is about to become a blur at a funny farm. We have our final hatch of the season expected on Saturday night after 6pm. Husband and son are heading to Holm's neck of the woods to pick up 4 pigs on Friday night. Daughter has junior musical Thursday thru Saturday. Son and Daughter will be participating in the youth Turkey hunt on Saturday with the Benton County Tom Bombers. (Dad gets to help chaperone.) It looks like it is MFA for the weekend. (MFA = Mom Farms Alone)


OHHH and we have our first wedding of the season in the barn on Friday night. Thank God it's a smaller wedding!

I heard frogs today not by my house but a swampy area I drove by. I need to put the screens on our windows. Today was warm, low 70's. I got home and let the big girls out and then let Bitsy and her chicks into the run and suddenly it started to rain it didn't last long but still, how annoying.
