Surviving Minnesota!

Pretty morning out, even though it's windy and getting windier. I spent all day yesterday cleaning the chicken run and working on grow out pens. I still have a lot to do before I call that job done, but at least it's not raining, so I'm happy to keep on.

The chickens are enjoying the new compost piles. I have decided to compost right in the run, instead of hauling it out to the old piles. Much easier and the chickens can find goodies and enjoy the warmth in the mornings. I had one little red hen following me around the entire time I was raking and picking things up yesterday. Smart little thing. She knows where the goodies come from. lol

Good morning all. No broody hens this year. Some tried but didn’t make the long haul.

At work management has asked me to involve the staff more in budgeting procedures, between the target on my backside and the grenade inches from my forehead I’m not sure which way to turn. Some will take longer than others to convert into accountants!
Involving means listening to them before totally ignoring their requests...

Sorry, you are ineligible...it is limited to Mn residents. We allow Jerry to think he is a Mn resident due to his being here part time. He is a snowbird.

Summers here and spends the winters in the Deep South.

Jerry has a good plan , although where he winters isn't that great, but not as cold and snowy as the banana belt

We suddenly are in the 2-4 inches of snow area for Saturday, WTH? On Easter it was 80 in my lovely part of the state, and now this?? We have had frogs now for three weeks or more I think, I was so happy the first day I heard them.

You should think about moving north to the banana belt..

Wrong Ralphie IL . is not the Deep South . It may be south of you but not considered south . When I visit cousins in MO . I am a damn yankee and when in MN I am considered a southerner . Stuck in the middle . :idunno
I checked google maps..

I was right again, it’s the Deep South... :lau:lau:lau:lau:gig:gig:gig:gig
