One of todays projects, I started using this old saddle hoping it would hurt my knee less which it does. So now time to clean it

Ugh I want to ride horse but I injured myself a couple weeks ago...riding horse....and should probably be good for awhile.

It's so dumb how it happened lol. So I almost always ride bareback, and was doing the jump/pulling myself onto his back when at the last second he side stepped when our other horse started coming up to us (mine is bottom of the pecking order and was getting out of her way, plus he's just kind of skiddish/jumpy at surprising things).

Anyway, I slipped and cracked a rib..... (But still managed to get up there). It hurt right away... I was up on the horse and said to my wife.."Oh no". So now I'm up there and like, "Now what...."

So yea, it's one of the worst things ever and I hate it so much. Can't sleep, can't cough, can't lift anything, finish projects, sit, basically exist at all lol. I've had one previously, I was kicked in the chest while being the pusher for branding calves....and know it's going to be awhile.

Still makes me mad (and just the fact that its ridiculous) lol, I've only done that a million times and have been through far worse horse related things without injury.

No I never wear a helmet. I am also aware that you can even die from head injuries that can happen. It is just something my family has never done and something I don't plan on doing.

I totally respect your choice, but brains don’t heal like bones do.
I grew up not using a bike helmet but having seen first hand, the life-long devastating effect of head injury, would never do that now.

That is totally understandable. I have suffered a head/neck injury from being bucked and having my upper neck hit a metal panel. I do also know someone who died from not wearing a helmet. I just choose not to wear one, I have total respect for anyone who does wear a helmet though.

Looks like it's going to be warm here too, 80's.

I had ordered some Columbian Wyandotte chicks from a breeder and they should hopefully be here today!

Dragonfly Farm out of Arkansas. I had ordered some eggs a month or so ago but USPS scrambled them and only got 1 chick out of the deal. So I just bought the chicks instead.

I think I am developing a fatal disease. I am not sure what is going on. I was out cleaning the barn and I noticed water running into my eyes.....

My tee shirt is all wet. I feel hot all over. I need water to drink and actually came in to get some....

I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? I am hoping it is just something going around the area and not just me having it...

Also It appears my Turkeys have something wrong too they are all panting.

I had to come in, it is 76f ,and humid.... I dislike humid, I dislike hot, I dislike all these mosquitoes, and the ticks too

Not much for Mosquitoes yet here...BUT ticks are nuts. I am taking 3-4 a day off me.
