State Fair went really well! In 4H I won Reserve Champion LF Pullet, my younger sister got Reserve Champion overall bantam. I got Champion Senior Showman for the 2nd year in a row, my younger sister didn't do showmanship due to having lost her voice this morning

Layers, Gratz on doing well at the fair... while I, like Erlibrd, am curious of how you caused your sister to lose her voice.. but I will not pry further. However, I would add a talent like that would go a long ways if you consider a career in politics.

My summer of bad luck continues. I need to change the alternator in my van today. Hopefully, I can get it done in one day.

I am a little surprise the friend that is giving me the antique chicken watered for Christmas is not here to change it...


Of course, as always I have ton of other things to do before I can get to the car. I should be putting an electric fence around the garden, but it has to wait. The water retaining device in a river are eating my beans daily.

The worst part is they step on everything else when going for the beans.. I think instead of a deer hunting season they should be declared a predator and treated as such. Killed in anyway possible anytime of year.

Any comments on weight? 5 buff orps, 15 weeks processed weight,
The smallest was 2.70 largest was 3.80 does this sound ok? Average?

Thank you Banty, I'm sure they will be good soup and bone broth. Another coop for grow out would be nice, lucky to have what I have though!
