Surviving Minnesota!

Beautiful day today, hopefully we don't end up with 6-10 inches in a few days though

A rude awakening this morning. Many inches of wet heavy snow over night. Much tree damage and some of the ornamental trees will not be salvageable. Winter is not over by a long shot. Where have all those global climate change geniuses gone ?

I lost the mailbox to the snowplow...the garden fence to the heavy snow. The wind and snow combined to take my sap boiling tent down. My orchard fence is toast.

and I am still missing a couple turkey hens.

I am really hoping my order for palm trees is not a tad premature for the impending global warming.

We woke today to 2-3 inches of snow....

Hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow.
Ours is maybe 3/4 gone. Mind, that still leaves quite a lot--just scattered around in drifts eager to pour in overtop of your boots, just to hear you say naughty words... and snigger at you. 🙄

What kind of tomatoes did you plant? I can’t read the packs. Most of mine are Roma type, Amish paste and others. I love them for canning! I’ve started toms, peppers and tomatillos.

I started Roma, a sauce variety, beef steak, and some grape tomatoes,

I started a mix of bell peppers all colors, colored banana peppers and a mix of hot peppers. I will get whatever colors I happened to plant, I am not as good as Jerry I can’t tell the seeds apart. :lau

I have a dozen cabbage and 3 egg plants.
