Surviving Minnesota!

My cherry tree is a rotting tree, I hope petrifies soon, as a memorial to my one cherry I harvested off it.

It was the worlds most expensive cherry, and I had the privilege of eating it!
I had a very expensive peach. I bought a Reliance Peach tree with one peach on it. It made it to being ripe, I ate it, it froze off the next winter.

Huh, I thought cowbirds were also invasive!
They were introduced from England as were House Finches but both are on the protected list. Individual states may list other kinds than the Starling and House Sparrow as invasive even though they are included on the Federally protected list. The State of Wyoming lists the Eurasian Collared Dove as an invasive species. The concern here is that they may cross with the Mourning Doves.

Part of it can be the lighting. These are both the same color but the one on the left is reflecting more of the flash.

Kill joy.
Yes and you can legally do anything that you want with them. Starlings and house sparrows are the only two song birds that receive no legal protection.
I hates starlings. Nasty things.

They are.
They lay eggs in other birds nests and leave those parents to take care of their babies which usually starves out the other babies.
But I believe they are native.. so they are still protected, unlike house sparrows and starlings.

I have no idea if cowbirds are protected by the state, but I do know they aren’t protected on my little farm...
