The geese are pretty. They can make good pets too. But they are such a mess.

I had some once many years ago and that was enough. My memory indicates that one adult goose makes the mess of 20 good sized dogs.

My geese were so messy, they had to go.

birds that live in water are bad news.

Morning . Showers off and on today . I need to mow maybe tomorrow . Bantam broody 6 chicks out of 8 eggs . I will edit to add photo .

They do look wonderful!! So happy to see parents with babies!!!
My geese have a pond too, but mainly roam the pasture, they like to boss the big critters, even the cow backs down from my gander.
The gander refuses to be in a picture with the goslings (he seems to think they aren’t HIS kids, )
They do get a little messy in winter, when I have them penned up ( and need more water carried then chickens) but are nowhere close to the mess my ducks are! Ducks are adorable, but pigs are cleaner!
I’m surprised at the comments about bad experiences with geese. More information about what to look for would be great
