Surviving Minnesota!

So I have been unsupervised 2 days . So I am a fairly good cook . Had 3 bell peppers that I needed used up . Thought hey stuffed peppers . So not wanting to go the real way . Yeah lazy . Sliced and cubed the peppers , boiled in a saucepan till done . 1 1/2 # burger , onion and some hen of the woods mushroom added the peppers and a quart of home canned pasta sauce . A packet of Uncle Ben's rice . Simmered awhile . Oh so good . Had 2 bowels while still a little runny . Thickened up after it sat and cooled some . Love the taste of home canned tomato products .

I'm waiting for Ralphie to catch the typo and have fun with it..... :caf

With the owner’s permission I submit a couple of pictures from Pearl and Loretta’s new farm.

Chickens, guineas and Ol’ Bob enjoying crumble treats after two hogs were butchered in this spot. Totally spoiled poultry.

Bob White likes hanging with the guineas. I guess he chases them and they tolerate him.

Edited to add that I guess he’s quit calling this last week and half. They try to send out calls to him but he won’t answer. Any ideas why?

Jerry - stuffed peppers sound amazing. Spending a couple days in the deer stand with my son. (Praying he is not so fussy because the snow, rain and wind is not fit for woman or beast.- some of which could have been prevented if previous deer stand user (daughter) would have relayed the message that Mr Buddy needs another jug of propane) Husband and father in law sat with husbands nephews and they each bagged a buck. All in good fun... people don’t realize what they are missing when they don’t hang out with nature.

Good luck, at least the rain has melted the snow and the wind has dropped to about 30

Oops. It’s snowing again.

It looks like more snow coming from your direction.

Enjoy the hunt.

Soon we can be ice fishing!

Chilly day in more than one way here, and a sad day. An eagle took a rooster this afternoon, he was so brazen he was sitting in the yard ripping the rooster to pieces. I ran him off and buried the rooster. I don’t want them thinking they can eat or hunt here. I really do not like eagles, they rank right up there with beaver and dux.

Then to make things worse the WW found the scope I won about a month ago on the Orrock Township raffle. She said I see you got a new scope, did not even wait for me to tell her about the raffle.

So in an instant of geniusness I said “ that’s a used scope”.

After all I have been using it for the last month.

I put it on my deer shotgun, (rifled barrel and has never fired anything but saber type slugs). I need to tighten up the Pattern a tad still, but I am having trouble finding slugs for it.

I really won a nice scope, I have seen then retail for around $300.
